Maria VMier was LA's second resident 2023. Her practice encompasses large-format paintings that emerge from pleasurable writing movements and Safer Spaces for collaborative exchange. She recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of her artist book publishing house "Hammann von Mier" and is founding member of the art space"Ruine München".

During her time in Los Angeles, she built the Portal mit Wegerecht, a sculptural portal for the back entrance.
