"Portal mit Wegerecht" (Portal With Right of Way) is the work of LA's second resident 2023, Maria VMier. The sculptural doorway to the back entrance of Los Angeles is cut out of a heavy duty steel plate and was built by Maria with the help of Erich Metz, Günsterode's ingenious car mechanic. Part of the work is a permission for all people from the village to cross Los Angeles to be able to get to the other side of the valley without a detour.
The portal was inaugurated during the 2nd Barnale.
