Sarah Lehnerer resided in LOS ANGELES during the summer of 2020. Across her several stays she worked on a film project about Günsterode’s midwife of several decades: MARGOT. The film discusses question(s) about the role of (re)productive architectures in general and especially in connection to the life of the village midwife. MARGOT helped bring hundreds of infants into the world - among them the artist Jonas von Ostrowski, who in turn is the creator of the built structures and the residency of LOS ANGELES. The film premiered during La Barnale 2021 in LOS ANGELES.
